Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on 4th and 5th floors of the main campus with 60 total beds
• Patient ratios of 5:1 on Med Surg Specialty 4th Floor and 6:1 on Med Surg 5th Floor
• Weekend shifts are required with no on-call responsibilities
• Telemetry experience required
• Med Surg experience required
• Cardiac recognition and IV starts preferred
• Strong time management skills preferred
• Team oriented, positive, and flexible personality preferred
• Perform procedures including abdominal surgeries (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy), diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart catheterizations, run offs, gastric sleeves, total hip, knee and shoulder replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs
• Work with equipment including remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps
• Document using Alterra (Allscripts) EMR system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Scrub color required: Black scrubs transitioning to Medical City Blue
• Mandatory float as needed to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU within skill level and scope
