Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Medical/surgical experience required; behavioral/psychiatric and pediatrics experience preferred
• Previous pediatric experience preferred
• Must be willing to care for patients with behavioral health needs
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience required
• Must be licensed to work in both Missouri and Kansas (or hold compact license)
• Required certifications: PALS and BLS (AHA only - RQI certifications not accepted)
• Floating between main Kansas City campus and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest)
• Medication/dosage test administered during first week requiring 100% passing score with up to 3 attempts
• Care for diverse pediatric population including patients with appendectomies, tonsil and adenoidectomies, viral illnesses, ingestions requiring medical clearance, and behavioral health concerns with underlying medical needs
• Work in an 18-bed unit providing high-quality, short-stay care in a fast-paced, supportive environment
• Deliver patient-centered care across a wide range of acute and transitional conditions
• Smoke-free facility
