Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 48-hour weeks accepted
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during days and 6:1 during nights
• 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• LTAC experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Documentation system: Cerner (required)
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Communication system: SBAR
• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including heart failure, Afib, Afib with RVR, stroke, and post PCI/cardiac cath
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring, pacemaker management (temporary/permanent), post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, TR band, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips without titration, CVA and intracranial bleed management, oxygen and non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
