Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 8, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 2 weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6:1

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with attention to comfort and dignity
• Perform IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Conduct bedside shift reports and include patients and family members in care planning
• Use Meditech electronic documentation system to record patient information
• Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, EKG machines, and bladder scanners
• Utilize iMobile communication technology for unit coordination
• Prioritize patient care and manage multiple assignments effectively

Unit Support

• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Contract Assignment Terms

Contract labor is first to float when staffing changes occur; rotation applies when multiple contract staff are scheduled.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,067.
