Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Maintain 6:1 patient ratios on 20-bed unit
• Work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Float policy places contract labor first to float, then by rotation
• Provide bedside shift report and compassionate patient/family care
• Work with IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Document using Meditech system
• Tech support available on day and night shifts, unit secretary coverage 7AM-7PM
• Required to wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
• Must have active RN license and BLS certification
• Med/Surg experience required with ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Must be proficient in starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintaining surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Expected to make personal connections with patients and include family members in care planning
