Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a travel assignment on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit. This is a 91-day contract beginning August 10, 2026.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Two weekends (four shifts) required per 4-week cycle
• Paid at $2,067 per week

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Perform IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA devices, and EKG machines
• Document all patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Conduct bedside shift reports with patients and family members
• Include patients and families in care planning
• Prioritize and multitask across assigned patients

Unit Support

• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary present 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• iMobile communication technology for unit coordination

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required

Contract Terms

Contract labor is first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract staff are on the same schedule. You will work with an experienced unit team committed to delivering attentive and compassionate care.
