Med Surg RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

Join Parkridge Medical Center as a Medical-Surgical RN for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 28-bed Med Surg unit, providing direct patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (nights)
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Weekend shifts: 4 per 28-day cycle with holiday rotation
• Float rotation with other staff as needed
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40
• Start date: October 12, 2026

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Document patient information and care activities in the Meditech system
• Operate medical equipment including walkers, IV pumps, sequential compression devices (SCDs), and related devices
• Manage central venous catheters (CVCs), indwelling catheters, and heparin drips
• Communicate with Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Case Management
• Use communication boards to support positive patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with respiratory diseases and illnesses, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses and diseases, telemetry monitoring
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology patient care experience
• General surgery patient care experience

• Navy blue scrubs (dress code)
