Med Surg RN Job in Hermitage, TN

You'll work as an RN on a 33-bed Medical Surgical unit at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. This is a 3x12 night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), running for 91 days starting October 5, 2026. You'll earn $2,102.40 weekly.

Unit Overview

The Med Surg unit is located on the 5th floor and operates with strong support: 3 technicians per shift, plus a unit secretary on day shifts. You'll manage patient ratios of 7:1 during your night shifts, with day shift ratios at 6:1.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical assessment on the unit
• Manage intravenous lines, Kangaroo pumps, and sequential compression devices (SCDs)
• Document all patient interactions and care in the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with technicians and unit support staff
• Float in rotation to other appropriate clinical areas as needed

Scheduling

You'll work an every-other-weekend schedule as part of the standard rotation. The 3x12 night format gives you consistent overnight hours with built-in days off.
