Job Details:

• Work in a multi-unit setting covering MST/ED, ICU, PCU, and LDRP departments
• Unit includes 8 ICU beds, 12 PCU beds, 32 MST beds, 26-bed ED, and LDRP (5 Postpartum, 6 Labor, 2 bay triage, Level 1 Nursery)
• Patient ratios: with 2 therapists, one RT covers MST/ED and the other covers ICU/PCU/LDRP; with 3 therapists, coverage is divided further based on census and acuity
• 2-3 therapists scheduled per shift
• Minimum of every other weekend availability required
• Block scheduling of Friday/Saturday/Sunday available if interested
• Perform procedures including ABGs, oxygen nebulizers, vent management, BiPAP management, home O2 qualifications, CPT vest, high-flow management, Bubble CPAP, and EKGs
• Operate equipment including Hamilton C6 and PB 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Airvo, V60 BiPAP, and Bubble CPAP (recently received new Hamilton C6 vents)
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Patient experience requirements: AIDET communication framework
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy required
• Current licensure as CRT or RRT required
• Must be a credentialed and active member of NBRC
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Dress code: Scrubs in gray, black, or navy
