Job Details:

• Work in a Pediatric unit specializing in Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, and all Pediatric specialties
• May float across NICU, B3 general floor, and PICU as needed
• Must be willing to float to ED to care for inpatient holds
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4 in a 14-bed unit
• Every 3rd weekend schedule required
• On-call may be required during low census from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience required
• Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months required
• Hematology/Oncology experience required
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 12 months required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months - no first-time travelers
• All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), APHON
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Pediatric/Oncology discipline required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
