OR RN Job in Tucson, AZ

BUMC Tucson is seeking an RN for the Operating Room. This is a travel position with an 89-day assignment starting November 2, 2026.

Position Details

• Work 3x12 shifts: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday days
• Weekly pay: $2,446.20
• Trauma call requirement: 6 shifts per 4-week schedule period, including 2 shifts from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 2 shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and 2 weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Review patient history and physical with patient and family; ensure completion within appropriate timeframe
• Review diagnostics and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care
• Delegate and supervise activities of the health care team to ensure quality patient care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise plan of care as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership; contribute to education and orientation of facility personnel

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR RN
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience within the past 12 months
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Clinical performance competencies appropriate to the operating room
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
