Telemetry RN Job in Waterbury, CT

Join Waterbury Hospital as a Registered Nurse on our Telemetry unit. This is an 8-week travel contract offering 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 36 hours of work per week. You will earn $2,191 weekly and begin on September 21, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work as part of a float pool covering Med/Surg Telemetry units, caring for adult and geriatric patients in a 30-bed setting. Night shifts typically involve 6 patients per assignment. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications

Core Responsibilities

• Med/Surg patient care and monitoring
• Blood product administration
• Peripheral and PICC line management
• IV insertion and maintenance
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance
• Documentation using Cerner EHR
• Medication administration via Omnicell system
• Team communication using SBAR protocol
