Telemetry RN Job in Waterbury, CT

Waterbury Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 30-bed Telemetry unit. This is a travel position offering 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 36 to 48 hours of work available per week. Every other weekend coverage is required. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning September 21, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Float pool position covering Med/Surg units
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Manage patient ratios of 6 during night shifts
• Administer blood products and manage peripheral lines and PICC lines
• Start and maintain IVs, manage nasal cannula and non-invasive airway support
• Apply isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Use Cerner for documentation and Omnicell for medication management
• Communicate using SBAR format

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,903.04.
