RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed medical/surgical unit providing 24/7 nursing care to patients ranging from adolescents (17 years and older) to geriatric
• Care for patients with general and/or surgical needs including general surgery, colorectal surgery, general abdominal surgeries, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, urology, women's health, gynecology, uro-gyn, gyn oncology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and spinal/neuro overflow
• Provide care for women experiencing obstetrical issues such as intra-uterine fetal demise, preeclampsia, hyperemesis, substance abuse withdrawal, and diabetic pregnancies
• Patient ratios of 1:5/6
• Float required
• Fast-paced environment with varied patient assignments throughout each shift
• Must have 2+ years of recent medical/surgical experience
• Epic experience within the last year required and must be reflected on resume
• BLS certification required
• Must hold an accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Solid black scrubs required
• Block schedules will not be accommodated
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO accepted and must be submitted at time of presentation
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
