ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Primarily PCU with float to ICU
• Day shifts 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM available
• Every other weekend requirement - days require Saturday and Sunday, nights require Friday and Saturday
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff required
• Float eligible between all ICUs and PCU within the unit
• May be required to float throughout Region Two facilities in Lakewood, WA; Enumclaw, WA; and Tacoma, WA with rate differential when floated outside of primary facility
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• ICU patient ratios 1:1 or 1:2; PCU patient ratios 1:3
• 82 critical care beds across 3 separate floors (48 ICU, 34 PCU)
• Charge nurse available on each floor with 2 nurse aides per floor
• Manage all ICU-level drips; PCU drips include cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin (no pressors in PCU)
• Ventilator experience required; no vents in PCU
• IABP or CRRT not required unless candidate has prior experience
• Charting system: EPIC
• No scrub color requirements
• Telemonitor technicians available in PCU only
• IV team, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy available 24/7
• Intensivist on-site during day shift; virtual ICU and ARNP available overnight for procedures
• Floor-specific orientation planned for 1 week with an educator, minimum of 2 shifts
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS
