RN - ICU Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Night shift (NOC) position in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital ICU/PCU unit
• Must be experienced in all areas and willing to float to Medical Surgical Unit (MSU) as needed
• Active Washington State or Multi-State RN license required
• Identify patient and significant others' needs for patient education and provide education utilizing appropriate modalities
• Implement patient safety measures including side rails, restraints, and safe use of equipment in accordance with restraint policy
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all equipment in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow procedures for repair of essential equipment
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures using proper procedures and documentation
• Utilize standard precautions at all times
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses during assigned shift
• Ensure accuracy and completion of physician orders in a timely manner
• Complete 24-hour check of orders when within duties of assigned shift
• Provide complete and accurate change of shift report to oncoming employees
• Communicate critical lab values to physician in a timely manner according to policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
