ICU RN Job in Enumclaw, WA

St Elizabeth Hospital – Enumclaw is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the ICU. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). There is no on-call or standby requirement.

About the Role

You will care for patients in a combined ICU and Medical unit with 4 ICU beds and 19 Medical beds. ICU ratios are maintained at 1:1 or 1:2 without flexing. You must be able to take a full MedSurg assignment in rotation and float down as needed. MedSurg ratios are 1:5, PCU ratios are 1:3–4, and Pediatric ratios are 1:4 for ages 4–17.

Your responsibilities include titrating all critical drips (sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics), managing ventilator-dependent patients, and reading and interpreting your own telemetry. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 in-house. Virtual ICU nurses and cameras are in every room. A Charge Nurse and/or Hospital Resource Nurse works every shift, and SWAT RNs support PICC, midline, and IV needs. CNAs are typically available—two per shift.

Patient Population

Common diagnoses include ventilator-dependent patients, respiratory distress, medical and orthopedic cases, abdominal surgery, stable stroke with TPA, STEMIs not requiring intervention, hysterectomies, and infectious disease. Pediatric patients (ages 4–17) may include lap appendectomies, GI scopes, and general procedures. No dialysis or cath lab services are on unit; unstable patients transfer out.

Requirements

• 2 years of ICU experience with ability to take a full MedSurg assignment
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and ENPC or PALS certifications
• Strong autonomous skills and willingness to ask questions and seek help
• Professional scrubs in any color

Compensation & Assignment Details

Weekly pay is $2,419.11. The assignment begins October 26, 2026, and runs for 91 days. You will be based at the primary facility with the possibility of floating to other Region II locations; you will receive an additional $20 per hour when floated to a non-primary facility. Charting is completed in EPIC.
