ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 in ICU (3:1 stretch) and 3:1 in PCU (4:1 stretch)
• Primary placement in ICU with float to PCU and med-surg units when needed
• May be required to float throughout Region One facilities, which are no more than regional distance apart
• Treat patients with diagnoses including COVID, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, and DKA
• Must have experience with ventilated patients, cath lab recovery, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Required to titrate drips including sedation, pressors, diuretics, insulin, and Amiodarone
• Work alongside intensivist (0800-1500), hospitalist (24 hours), and respiratory therapy (24/7)
• Remote monitor techs available; RNs required to read their own strips
• Charting system: EPIC
• 1 orientation shift (12 hours) provided
• No set scrub color; any colored professional scrubs permitted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
