Occupational Therapist Job in LaGrange, GA

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a day shift role in our rehabilitation department. This 91-day travel assignment begins September 30, 2026, and offers a weekly pay rate of $1,828.

Role Overview

You will assess, plan, and organize rehabilitative programs designed to restore or improve patient function. Your responsibilities include implementing occupational therapy treatment plans, selecting appropriate treatment activities to help patients progress toward their goals, and revising care plans based on patient and family input. You will collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, discharge plans, and goals of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Implement treatment activities and adjust interventions as patients progress
• Provide ongoing patient and family education, training, and discharge instructions
• Document evaluations, plans of care, and treatment sessions according to departmental guidelines
• Establish realistic discharge plans that incorporate patient and family member goals
• Complete required documentation, including family education and discharge materials, within established timelines
• Apply AIDET principles in all patient interactions
• Observe infection prevention precautions and utilize materials and equipment in a safe, cost-effective manner
• Adhere to departmental dress code and ID badge policies
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid OT Occupational Therapist license
• BLS certification (AHA, ARC-BLS, or BLS Instructor)
• Effective communication skills and customer service focus
• Team orientation and basic computer skills
