PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

We are seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is a travel role with an 89-day assignment beginning August 24, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $2,582.10
• Work across two campuses; the second location is approximately 10 minutes from the primary site

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in the PCU, assessing patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs. You will formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities include care coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities, as well as timely and accurate documentation of assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records.

You may be floated to support other adult health units, including Observation, Med-Surg, and Intermediate Care (IMC) units. On occasion, you may be floated to the Emergency Department or PACU to care for adult health patients with inpatient orders awaiting a bed.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience required
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
