Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as an RN in the medical surgical telemetry unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 181-day travel contract position beginning August 24, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• Work three 12.5-hour day shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Up to three Saturdays per six-week schedule period
• Unit is closed on Sundays
• May be called to work holidays based on surgical volumes, assessed on an individual basis

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to post-procedural patients, typically those staying one to three nights after surgery
• Monitor patients using cardiac telemetry equipment
• Care for cath lab patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Manage overflow patients from the emergency room as needed
• Support surgical recovery and post-operative patient management

Compensation and Details

You will earn $2,144 per week. This position requires an active RN license and experience in medical surgical or telemetry nursing. You will join a team focused on monitoring and supporting patients during critical post-operative and cardiac recovery periods.
