CVOR RN Job in Houston, TX

CHI St Lukes Health - Baylor St Lukes Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in Houston, Texas.

Role Overview

You will circulate in a 12-suite CVOR performing approximately 20 cases per day. This is a high-acuity environment requiring skilled, experienced nursing staff able to work efficiently across multiple surgeons and complex procedures.

Schedule & Compensation

• Day shifts: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
• Mandatory call requirement: minimum 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month, with possible additional call based on staffing needs
• 30-minute call response time required
• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements apply
• Weekly pay: $2,881
• Contract duration: 70 weeks
• Start date: August 31, 2026

Case Mix

Common procedures include CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, robotics (thoracic and cardiac), peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), Impella, IABP, and ECMO support.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of CVOR circulating experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to apply general CVOR knowledge across approximately 25 regularly scheduled surgeons
• Scrub experience preferred (scrubbing not required for RNs)
