ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 2 weekends per month required
• Home unit is standard ICU with float required to IMCU and Med Surg as patient volume demands
• ICU patient ratios 1:2 (will vary when floating)
• Must be willing to float within hospital
• All white or all navy scrubs required
• NC license or Multistate license required at submittal
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be via AHA)
• EPIC experience and proficiency required
• Minimum 1.5 to 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable taking pediatric patients (peds patients are not common but are not redirected)
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care and management, arterial line management, continuous IV sedation, titration of IV vasopressors and vasoactive drips, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), infection prevention and isolation precautions, starting and maintaining IVs, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
