Job Details:

• Position covers General Pediatrics with potential floating to other Pediatric units including PICU, NICU, and Pediatric Oncology for low acuity patients, or Pediatric surge spaces in the ED or PACU when necessary
• Varied work schedule
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute hospital experience in Pediatrics required
• Candidates without previous travel experience must have experience floating in order to be considered
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel as appropriate
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in unit or facility shared leadership activities
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
