Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Float to other units and/or campuses as required based on census needs, limited to units and tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
• Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric floors, PICU, ER, and NICU
• Work with patient age groups including pediatrics
• Minimum 1 year of experience required in ER, Pediatric Critical Care, and Pediatrics settings
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Utilize medication systems Pyxis and Omnicell
• Document using EPIC electronic medical records system
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS, and RRT for SC license
• Required skills include: aerosol set up (mask and trach), albuterol, apnea monitoring, Atrovent, bag and mask, capillary blood gases, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), metered dose inhaler (MDI), Mucomyst, trach collar, and Xopenex
• Experience with emergency department and pediatric critical care required
