ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Work in a 63-room/bed emergency department seeing approximately 180 visits per day
• Adult emergency department with pediatrics separated
• Respiratory therapy available in department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and more
• Handle a wide range of patient diagnoses including stroke, cardiac, and Level 2 Trauma cases
• Travelers may be floated to any campus location as needed
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to 2 attempts allowed
• Self-scheduling unit
