ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a travel assignment with a 91-day duration starting June 15, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Weekly pay: $1,918.44

Role Overview

You'll provide direct patient care in a high-volume ED handling over 100,000 annual visits. You'll maintain typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds. You'll work flexibly across all ED sections with no floating outside the department. Support staff includes technicians for cardiac monitoring, triage, and processing, plus unit clerks on day and night shifts.

Required Experience & Credentials

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred

Clinical Environment

You'll work with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors. Documentation occurs in the Cerner system. Navy scrubs are the required dress code.
