ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet the needs of the department
• No block scheduling commitments
• Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED but no floating outside of the ED
• Utilize Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available days and nights
• Follow AIDET standards, respectful behavior practices, and update patient boards with information throughout each visit
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high volume ED with 100,000+ visits preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must have a teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
