Description
Opportunity:
RN - ED ER
Job Details:
• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required; must meet the needs of the department and cannot commit to block scheduling
• No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• Use Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Technicians available working in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, and unit clerks available days and nights
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards, respectful behavior practices, and keep patient boards updated throughout each visit
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting
• Previous experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required before start date); ENPC required within 90 days of hire
