Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with possibility of 4x12 schedule
• One on-call day per 6-week schedule
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday and Sunday)
• Patient ratio experience of 5 to 6 patients required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg Tele required
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be located more than 150 miles from facility
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Unit consists of 38 beds with a daily census of 38
• Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, PICC line management, wound care and wound vac, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases, high flow nasal cannula, PCA management, pre and post cardiac catheterization care, post MI care, renal failure management, and telemetry monitoring
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, and unit secretary
