PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Day shift position
• 36 or 48-hour shift schedules available; schedule may be discussed during interview
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends using team nursing model
• 48-bed cardiac stepdown unit with private rooms equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring
• Care for cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease process patients requiring closer monitoring than standard med/surg but less than intensive care
• Participate in multidisciplinary care with support from physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Cardiovascular experience required
• Telemetry and IV Start skills required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if all three fall within the assignment period
• May be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
