RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Day shift position
• 36 or 48 hours per week; schedule may be discussed during interview
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Travel experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends using team nursing ratios
• Work in a 48-bed cardiac stepdown unit with private beds equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring
• Provide close observation and monitoring of cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes
• Care for patients requiring more than standard med/surg telemetry but less than intensive care
• Participate in process improvements to ensure high quality care and patient satisfaction
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Phlebotomy, and Transportation
• Skills required: Telemetry, IV Start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC experience preferred
• Must hold an active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; RTO will not be approved after offer is made
• If assignment includes end-of-year holidays and all three (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) fall within the assignment, traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must be willing to work at least 1
