Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement as needed
• Holiday requirement as needed
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6, with 1:6 ratio occurring at least once a week
• 42-bed unit serving medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients
• Nurse aids and patient care techs available at a 1:10-12 ratio
• Charge nurse present on each shift with their own patient assignment
• Titratable drips limited to Heparin only
• Respiratory therapy available 24 hours on the floor
• Telemetry monitoring available on the floor with a centralized telemetry station
• Floating requirements to PCU or Burn unit
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Orientation includes first week of classroom training followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor
• Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum passing score of 90%
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certification: BLS
• BSN not required
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
