Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling with manager approval
• Weekend requirement of at least every 3rd weekend, at times every other weekend
• Holiday rotation per unit needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 with nurse aides/patient care techs available at 1:8 ratio
• 10-bed Med/Tele Swing Unit serving adults, geriatrics, and occasional pediatric patients
• Common diagnoses include swing bed patients needing IV antibiotics, therapy, or wound care, as well as medical patients with conditions such as diabetes, pancreatitis, and pneumonia
• Charge nurse present on each shift and takes an assignment
• May float to the ED as backup support when patient volumes surge
• 2 days of unit/department-specific orientation required
• Pass/Fail open book exam during orientation requiring a minimum score of 90% to pass
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Candidate must reside outside of 50-mile radius rule
