ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting an RN for a 10-hour shift position in the Operating Room at OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an 89-week travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,864.

Role Overview

You will provide perioperative nursing care to patients across a wide age range—from 6 months to 95 years old—managing cases that range from straightforward to highly complex. Your responsibilities include conducting patient interviews and assessments, managing pain and nausea, and assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients throughout their surgical episode.

Key Responsibilities

• Recover Phase 1 PACU patients and manage airways as needed
• Demonstrate excellent IV skills, including instilling prescribed pupil-dilating drops
• Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Obtain and monitor physiological data; intervene when necessary
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Interact with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures
• Make appropriate referrals regarding patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Maintain a fast pace and embrace teamwork in a dynamic surgical environment

Required Qualifications

• RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with surgical eye cases, including cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, and plastics
