Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• This is a Charge RN role; charge pay is offered and training is available for qualified candidates
• Shift options include 8 and 10-hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, 3 x 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or 4 x 12-hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Weekend availability required
• No on-call required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Minimum 18 months of experience required
• Unit is a Cardiac and Medical PCU - True ICU Stepdown serving adult and geriatric patients
• Unit consists of 27 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Patient diagnoses include heart caths, BiPAP, cardiac and vasoactive drips including Levo, Dopa, Nitro, Cardizem, and Amio
• Required skills: Telemetry, IV Start, Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, BiPAP, and High Flow Oxygen
• Required skills also include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care/management, post cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac cath, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, tracheostomy care/management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Level I, II, III, or IV experience required
• Preferred skills: Vents, Charge Nurse Experience, Conscious Sedation, post watchman and ablation, titration of insulin drips
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Red top, black bottoms
• Parking: Free
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS preferred
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to submission; pending licenses are not accepted
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Local candidates (Indiana residents) are not accepted for this position
