Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level 2 facility required
• Minimum 2 years of circulating experience in a community hospital setting required
• Circulating experience must include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), Plastic Surgery, and Robotics
• Conscious sedation administration and monitoring experience required
• Must be comfortable with GI cases including administering sedation
• Will be expected to perform GI cases, administer sedation, and assist with C-sections while on call
• Call requirement includes overnights on weekdays, weekends for 24 hours each day, and holidays for 24 hours per day
• Typical call schedule is 1 day per week and usually one weekend per month
• OR suite consists of 5 rooms
• Patients served are adults
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (must be AHA or ARC)
• Valid California RN license required
• Key skills required include: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, laparoscopic assisted cases, total joint replacement, spinal fusion, laminectomy/discectomy, C-sections, conscious sedation monitoring, malignant hyperthermia, and universal protocol procedures, among others
