Operating Room RN Job in San Francisco, CA

Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. You will work 4x10 day shifts with variable start times (7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 1:00 PM) and rotating weekend coverage every other weekend. This is a 91-day contract beginning October 5, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,786.

Required Qualifications:

• Current California RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• BLS (AHA) and CNOR certifications
• Demonstrated scrub and circulate experience
• Cardiac surgery experience
• Experience with Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology services
• Proficiency with specialized surgical equipment including Da Vinci robotic systems, Ion, Globus, cataract machine, vitrectomy machine, and Brainlab

Preferred Qualifications:

• Community hospital experience

Role Responsibilities:

You will provide direct and indirect patient care utilizing comprehensive patient assessment, nursing care plans, and patient education. You will deliver holistic and individualized care to patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. You will develop and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. You will foster collaborative relationships between patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.

The facility operates 12 surgical rooms with approximately 25 procedures per day. You will maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends. Overtime support is required. Up to two pre-approved time-off days are allowed per contract.
