Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 4x12 day shift schedule (48-hour weeks)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Patient ratio of 6:1 utilizing a team nursing model (splits caseload between 2 RNs, LPN, and Med Nurse)
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• 45-bed unit with primary surgical oncology patients, medical oncology overflow, and med-surg overflow
• Patients commonly present with central lines (PICC, PAC, and midlines), wound care needs, drains, ostomies, and Foley catheters
• PCA pump management and chemotherapy administration (ONS certified nurses only)
• Limited phlebotomy coverage at night
• Daily census of 30-35 patients
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: IV Start, Conscious Sedation, Chemotherapy Administration (for ONS nurses)
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Must hold an active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
