About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 8, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts at a weekly pay of $2,099.52.

Schedule and Expectations

  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Weekend coverage required
  • May float to Med-Surg or Telemetry when ICU census is low, with patient ratios of 5–6:1

Experience and Credentials Required

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Patient ratio experience of 2–3:1 in ICU setting
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS, and EKG course completion
  • Cerner charting system experience required
  • 6 hours total of Stroke education required

Clinical Skills and Competencies

  • Arterial line management and interpretation of arterial blood gases
  • Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
  • Central line care and management
  • BiPAP and CPAP management
  • Blood product administration and IV management
  • Continuous IV sedation and paralytics administration
  • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • IV insulin protocols
  • Emergency medications
  • ICP monitoring
  • CVA and acute stroke management
  • Traumatic brain injury care
  • Spinal cord injury care
  • Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management
  • Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention care
  • Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
