ICU RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

Bay Area Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in their 24-bed ICU unit. You will work the night shift (7 PM–7 AM) on a 3x12 schedule, starting July 20, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures including intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, external ventricular drains (EVDs), intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, Swan-Ganz catheters, and Bolt placements
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impellas, and balloon pumps
• Float to Doctors ICU as needed
• Participate in a staffing model of 1 Charge Nurse, 12 RNs, and support staff per shift

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ICU experience required—candidates without ICU background will not be considered
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• Cardiovascular surgery experience preferred

Schedule and Expectations

• Night shift: 7 PM–7 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• May be placed on call if not needed on a scheduled shift; call is limited to that shift only with no additional call expectations

• Royal Blue scrubs required
• Weekly pay: $1,708.20
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
