ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Weekend coverage required
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele if ICU has low census with ratios of 5-6:1
• Floating may occur for the majority of scheduled shifts depending on census
• Will work ICU, PCU, and/or MS/Tele based on facility needs as PCU is in the process of opening
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 2-3:1
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR, and EKG course completion
• 6 hours of stroke education required
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, post craniotomy, post neurosurgery management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, spinal cord injury, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
