ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Weekend coverage required
• May be required to float to MS/Telemetry if ICU census is low, with patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Patient ratio experience of 2-3:1 required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS, and EKG course completion
• 6 hours total of Stroke education required
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, post craniotomy and post neurosurgery management, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, spinal cord injury care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury care, and ventilator management
