ICU RN Job in Mount Pleasant, TX

CHRISTUS Health Mount Pleasant Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on the night shift. You'll work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in a full-time position caring for high-acuity patients in a critical care environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide direct care to ICU patients, including those who are intubated, sedated, and requiring chest tube management and continuous critical care monitoring
• Apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to deliver routine and complex patient care with attention to long-range goals
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and interventions thoroughly
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education
• Make clinical assignments and delegate appropriately to other care team members
• Practice independently while demonstrating comprehensive awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license in Texas or valid compact license
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• ACLS certification (AHA only)

Preferred qualifications:

• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026. You'll earn $2,102.40 weekly. A temp-to-perm option is available if a department opening exists at the end of your contract.
