ICU RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

Bay Area Medical Center is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Corpus Christi, Texas. You will work a day shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Perform and assist with critical procedures including intubation, central line placement, bronchoscopy, external ventricular drains (EVDs), ICP monitoring, Swan Pacing, and Bolt placement
• Operate advanced equipment including mechanical ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impellas, and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Collaborate with a team that includes a Charge Nurse Coordinator, 12 RNs, and a Unit Secretary during day shifts; 1 CNC and 12 RNs during night shifts
• Float to Doctors ICU as needed
• May be placed on call if not needed on a scheduled shift, limited to that shift only with no additional call expectations

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• ICU experience is mandatory; candidates without ICU experience will not be considered
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• Cardiovascular surgery experience preferred

• Duration: 13 weeks, starting August 24, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,971
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
