About this role

You are an RN with a minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience and a proven track record in travel nursing. You will work 3 nights per week at 12 hours each, earning $2,302 weekly for a 91-day assignment beginning August 18, 2026, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.

In the ICU, you will manage patient ratios of 2–3:1 and provide direct care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. You may float to Med/Surg or Telemetry units when ICU census is low, where ratios increase to 5–6:1. Weekend coverage is required. You will receive one pre-approved time-off request per contract.

Required Certifications & Education:

  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • TNCC or TCAR
  • EKG course completion
  • 6 hours of Stroke education

Key Clinical Skills:

  • Arterial line and central line management
  • BiPAP/CPAP and mechanical ventilation management
  • Blood product administration and IV sedation/paralytics
  • CVA/acute stroke and traumatic brain injury management
  • ICP monitoring and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac drip titration
  • Vasoactive drip management and IV insulin protocols
  • Pre/post cardiac catheterization and intervention care
  • Spinal cord injury and multisystem organ dysfunction care
  • Arterial blood gas interpretation

Required Experience & Preferences:

You have hands-on experience with patient ratios of 2–3:1 in an ICU setting. Community hospital experience is preferred. Trauma Level II experience is preferred. You are proficient in Cerner charting systems.
