ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Experience with CABGs and recovery of post cardio thoracic surgery patients fresh out of OR required
• Experience with IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, and Arctic Sun required
• Experience with TABLO XT/CRRT required
• Ability to manage high acuity patients with multiple comorbidities and drips required
• Previous experience with Epic preferred
• Practice independently in a critical care setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
• Provide routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess and address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Active RN license in Texas or compact license required
