Job Details:

• Day shift position with 36 or 48 hours available per week
• 52-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays; time off around Christmas cannot be approved
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will explain during call and will do best to accommodate preferred schedule but cannot guarantee it
• Work across all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Must be competent in caring for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients
• Must be competent in the use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Work within a multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a license from another state is held and temp license can be obtained before start
• Key skills include: NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nitric Oxide (INo), Tracheostomy care/management, Intubation Assist, Neonatal transports, Arterial Blood Gas interpretation, and Extubation
