ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Float within all sections of the ED as needed, no floating outside of the ED
• Utilize Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards and keep patient boards updated throughout visits
• Wear navy scrubs as required uniform
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year of ER experience
• Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits preferred
• Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
