CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Rapid Response is seeking a Registered Nurse with CVOR experience for a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Cardiothoracic Vascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Schedule: 4x10 days, 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM
• Pay: $2,681.28 per week
• Location: Wilmington, NC

Clinical Responsibilities

• 1:1 patient ratio with 6 visits per day across 3 rooms
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Diagnoses: CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, aortic dissection, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic root repair, carotid procedures, thoracic cases, pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella
• Call required 2 days per week and every 3rd weekend
• Float to main OR on campus when CVOR volume is low
• May be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team with requirement to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster situations

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience
• CVOR experience required
• ECMO and Impella experience required
• BLS certification required
• NC or Compact nursing license required
• First-time travelers accepted with required experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Epic charting experience
• Trauma Level I experience

Facility Support

• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Documentation systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Scrubs provided in blue
• 24 hours of orientation provided depending on experience
