ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• First time travelers welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Travelers may be floated to any campus as needed
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult/pedi, gunshot wounds, head injury, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Respiratory therapy available in the department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
